If I had ONE DAY in Paris:
8am: I’d start with an early breakfast from a Parisian cafe (a warm pain au chocolat please!). If you see an Eric Kayser bakery – do it!
9am: Walk or take the metro to Place de La Concorde and visit the Musee de L’Orangerie to see Monet’s waterlilies.
11am: Pop into Gagliani bookstore to buy a book and then a cup of hot chocolate from Angelina’s and sit in the Tuilerie gardens…
OR
Window shop through Rue St. Honore, exploring Place Vendome and stopping for brunch at Kong or lunch at Fauchon or on a patio inside Marchee St. Honore!
2:30pm: Take the metro over to station Rambuteau and check out the beautiful view of Paris’ rooftops from the top of the Pompidou museum (and catch a glimpse of as much free art as you can in the lobby…).
3:30pm: Then I’d wander through Le Marais (the area just behind the Pompidou museum), stopping to shop for cool finds in this trendy area as I head towards metro station St. Paul (on the way stop for a sweet treat from L’Eclair de Genie).
6pm: Go to the hotel and change/refresh.
8pm: Head to Le Relais de Venise for steak frites and a glass of wine.
10pm: Make my way to Trocadero metro station and watch the Eiffel tower sparkle!
11pm: If I’m not stuffed, we’d stop at Le Market at the base of the Champs Elysees (Franklin Roosevelt stop) for a souflee and some drinks.
11:30pm: Head to Prescription bar for a drink and then make my way to Silencio bar for some late night fun.
4am: Collapse in a drink, dance, food coma 🙂
