Basically this is some sort of game that I came across in one of the squares in Tunisia. These two were sitting and just staring at each other. They were blinking but not moving at all. Apparently the ‘game’ can last for hours… The building behind them is a mosque and so they even keep playing through the call for prayers and all the people walking past them.
Anyone seen this game before?

Never heard of it before outside of the usual staring contests that Junior Kindergarteners do. Those are fun of course.
Wondering if the Tunisian version is live art?

hmmm.. good question. i asked a few people and the said it was ‘une jeu’ — seemed like a king of the court sort of deal with people waiting to take on the winner. but the camera guy was definitely associated somehow i think so maybe art as well
